lacha paratha recipe – Layered Flat indian bread

Lacha  paratha is multilayered flat Indian bread which is very yummy and crispy and can be easily served with any gravy base dish.
  • Wheat flour    1 cup
  • Ghee                  1 tbl sp
  • Salt                     1/2 tsp
  • Water               As needed
  • In a bowl mix the flour,salt, ghee and then pour water enough to make a smooth dough as you do for chapati or paratha.
  • Cover the dough for 20-25 min with moist cloth.
  • Now take a ball size dough, and roll into a circle of size of your tawa (griddle).
  • Now apply a table spoon of ghee and spread it on entire surface.
  • Now sprinkle a tsp of flour and again spread evenly and start making fleets.
  • The finer the fleets, you get more layers.

  • Now press it lightly towards the center to show the layers clearly and roll like a paratha.
  • Now on pre -heated tawa (griddle) sprinkle some oil and cook it on medium flame.
  • Cook from both sides until golden brown.
  • Gently press it with spatula for even cooking.
  • Enjoy hot with simply dal(pulses) or dahi (curd) and pickle.
  • Enjoy this yummy and healthy paratha in your meal..!!!
