Treat your tongue with this Paneer Bhurji Recipe…

lovers…  Here is another dish for you..
 
– As name itself tells crumbled paneer dish,  a medley of onions, tomatoes, spices with cottage cheese.  It is very spicy and yummy dish for breakfast and other meals too. In breakfast you can serve paneer bhurji with bread and in dinner or lunch you can serve it with hot chapatis or parathas. But while making it, keep in kind that you use fresh paneer.

Ingredients

 
  •  Mashed paneer (cottage cheese)                              1 cup
  •  Oil                                                                                          2 tbsp
  •  Finely chopped onions                                                 1/2 cup
  • Cumin seeds (jeera)                                                         1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder (haldi)                                               1/4 tsp
  •  Chopped tomatoes                                                          1/2 cup
  • Garam masala powder                                                    1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Chilli powder                                                                       1/2 tsp
  • Finely chopped green chillies                                      1 tsp
  • Finely chopped coriander (dhania)                           1 tbsp
 

Method 

  1. Crumble the paneer and keep aside
  2. Heat oil or ghee or butter in a pan.
  3. Add the cumin seeds and fry till spluttering stops.
  4. Add the onions and saute on medium  flame,   fry till soft.onion fried
  5. Then add tomatoes and cook till they become soft. You can add a little salt so that the tomatoes get cooked faster.
  6. Now add the green chillies.
  7. Saute the paste for a minute.
  8. Add all the powdered spices and mix well. Fry for 2 minutes.
  9. Pour 1 tbsp of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  10. Add the crumbled paneer and let it cook for 1-2 minutes.
  11. Don’t cook the paneer for a long time as they harden and loose their softness.
  12. Season with salt, if desired.
  13. Garnish with the chopped fresh coriander.
  14. Serve it with bread toast in breakfast. If you are serving it in dinner then serve it with hot chapatis and parathas.paneer-bhurji
